My townhome is a few minutes walk from the excellent Holland Creek Trail hiking system and very near the Frank Jameson Community Centre, which offers a gym, pool, yoga, pickleball, etc. One can walk downtown (the bakery’s cinnamon buns are iconic) in about 15 minutes. Ladysmith’s Transfer Beach and the Community Marina are gems, and there are numerous arts and music events in the area. Friendly Ladysmith is equidistant between Nanaimo and Duncan (20 minutes), and about 1 hr and 15 minutes from Victoria. Coastal mountain view from the master bedroom. Back deck faces a pretty rock wall frequented by birds. Carport parking for one vehicle. Must be okay with stairs. No smoking, drugs or parties ... I love and respect my neighbours.
